Ryan Murphy released a look at his series Halston
Iconic American style designer Roy Halston–many closely correlated with 1970s glitz and glam–is becoming a biopic courtesy Ryan Murphy (the creator of The Assassination of Gianni Versace). Ewan McGregor plays Halston, that rose to prominence after he designed a pillbox hat Jackie Kennedy in 1961, heading to start his own line in 1969 and becoming the designer of choice for the Studio 54 set. At a since-deleted Instagram post that shared a teaser of their Netflix series,” Murphy wrote, “After a lengthy 20 decades of twists and turns, the limited succession Halston starring the fantastic Ewan McGregor started production today. I am so proud of our director and pioneer Dan Minahan, and Christine Vachon of Killer Films. I’m thrilled to be producing this fantastic and purposeful show together and Alexis Martin Woodall and Pamela Koffler. ”

Sandra Oh announced a project with Amanda Peet
Award-winning BBC series Killing Eve may have been renewed for a fourth year but its celebrity Sandra Oh has signed to some other concurrent project, now on Netflix. Amanda Peet is set to compose, create and showrun the series, which is co-executive made by Peet’s husband David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the duo behind HBO’s Game of Thrones. Titled The Chair, the six-episode dramedy extends round the head of a college ’s English section, played by Oh.

Grimes published her new album
Following her final album back in 2015, Canadian musician Grimes is back together with her highly anticipated fifth studio album, Miss Anthropocene, that she fell at midnight on February 21. The album contains 10 tracks, a few of which had been released as singles in 2019: “So Heavy I Fell Through the Earth,” “Violence,” and “My Name Is Dark. ” Grimes calls the sound of this new album “scenic nu steel,” also based on Pitchfork, the “convoluted” story of Miss Anthropocene is “about personifying climate change through a fictional cosmology of demons and villainesses giddily celebrating global warming as a force of goodness. ”

Gemma Chan obtained Max Mara’s Face of the Future award
Following in the footsteps of Emily Blunt, Katie Holmes and Zoe Saldana, British-Chinese actress Gemma Chan is the newest recipient of the Women In Film Max Mara Face of the Future award. According to the new, Chan was selected for her “assurance and poise with simple glamour” for this decoration, which is awarded annually to a girl “experiencing a turning point in her career. ” Following her breakout character at Crazy Rich Asians, Chan’s upcoming projects include Marvel movie The Eternals alongside Kumail Nanjiani, Salma Hayek and Angelina Jolie, and Let Them All Talk with Meryl Streep and Lucas Hedges.

Ottawa Bluesfest announced its full 2020 lineup
Ottawa music festival RBC Bluesfest has revealed the full lineup for its 2020 program, that features Rage Against the Machine, blink-182, Daniel Caesar, Charlotte Day Wilson and Marshmello among others. The 10-day festival in July also features one very special performer: Alanis Morissette, that is making a stop at LeBreton Flats within the Jagged Little Pill anniversary tour. Tickets for the festival are now on sale.
